The Art of Luxury: A Closer Look at the Bentley Brooklands Coupé

The Bentley Brooklands Coupé is a two-door hardtop coupé version of the Bentley Azure convertible (itself related to the Bentley Arnage). It is a hand-built car produced in extremely small quantities using traditional coach-building methods and leather and woodworking talents.

The Bentley Continental R and T's real replacement is the Brooklands Coupé.

The Bentley Brooklands Coupé's 6.75-liter Bentley L-Series twin-turbocharged V8 engine generates a powerful 1050Nm of torque at 3,250 RPM while delivering 530 horsepower at a paltry 4,000 rpm in Brooklands trim. Similar to the Azure, power was sent to the back wheels via a ZF six-speed automatic gearbox.

The British automaker Bentley Motors produces two different models under the name Bentley Brooklands. The Bentley Mulsanne was replaced by the first Brooklands, a full-size luxury saloon, which was introduced in 1992. The Bentley Arnage followed in 1998.

With the Brooklands Coupé, a 2-door, 4-seater hardtop coupé variation of the Bentley Azure convertible (which was a descendant of the Bentley Arnage), Bentley revived the nameplate in 2007.
