Head Turner: This Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS in PTS Mexico Blue Commands Attention

The arrival of the brand new Paint-to-Sample Mexico Blue (mexikoblau; non-metallic UNI; 336) Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS was delivered by @porschecentrebristol in Bristol, England.

The owner explains, “The 4RS is likely the last of its type given the next one will be going electric, so I wanted to do something special with mine. I've been lucky enough to have 3 GT4's in the past: a 981 and both manual and PDK 718’s. I saw this as an opportunity to build a forever car for me.”

As for the color, he continues, “I've always liked the PTS blues, so I knew immediately that I wanted Mexico Blue. To me, the loud and bright colour suited the ethos of the GT4 RS. I've always been intrigued by CXX & the Sonderwunsch programme and the goal was to create something OEM+.”

This GT4 RS is one of the most extensively tailored examples to come out of Sonderwunsch.

Starting with the exterior, the Front Lid and Rear Wing are finished in Tinted Blue Carbon Fiber with Painted Central Stripe in Mexico Blue. The owner credits his inspiration for this to the PTS Albert Blue 991 GT2 RS with blue carbon and body color wheels based in Southern California.

Also through Sonderwunsch, the NACA Air Intake Front Covers and Side Plates of the Rear Wing are painted in Mexico Blue.

Inside, the Full Bucket Seats are customized with Chalk (Crayon) Leather, Black Leather Piping, “Weissach RS” script in Speed Blue, and track graphics in Black. The Door Panels feature Black Race-Tex on the upper portions, Chalk Leather on the lower portions, and Carbon Fiber trim inlays.

The Storage Bin Lid is customized with the Sonderwunsch logo embossed on the Race-Tex top, Chalk Leather on the sides, and Black/Chalk two-toned stitching.

Additionally, the Steering Column Casing and Fuse Box Covers are finished in Race-Tex. As well, the Personalized Door-Sill Guards feature the Sonderwunsch logo illuminated in White.

The owner has since already taken it to its first of many track days at Silverstone, demonstrating that personalization and high performance driving are not mutually exclusive with these cars.
