Ferrari produced the 250 GTO, a vintage sports car, between 1962 and 1964. With only 36 being produced, it is regarded as one of the most recognizable and expensive automobiles in history. The V12 engine in the Ferrari 250 GTO generates 216-246 lb-ft of torque at 5500–7500 rpm and 300–304 horsepower at 7500–7700 rpm. It has a rear-wheel drive system with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The top speed of the Ferrari 250 GTO is 158–174 mph. For a car from the 1960s, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.4–6.1 seconds, which is fairly outstanding. 2018 had seen the auction sale of a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO for $48.4 million and the private sale of a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO for $80 million.
