The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302: A Tribute to an Iconic Muscle Car

The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss was a line of powerful muscle vehicles that was available in a variety of models, including the Boss 302, Boss 351, and Boss 429. They had a reputation for having powerful engines, unique appearance, and racing roots.  This specific car, which is The Boss 302 was a high-performance variant of the Ford Mustang that was built to compete in the Trans Am racing series.

It had a 302-cid V-8 engine with unique cylinder heads that produced 290 horsepower.  With a blacked-out hood, front spoiler, rear window louvers, and rear deck wing, it also had a striking appearance. The 1970 Boss 302 had a top speed of about 140 mph and could go from 0 to 60 mph in 6.0 seconds. Only two years of the Boss 302’s production made it a unique and valuable muscle vehicle.
