
The Alfa Romeo TZ2: A Rare Gem of Italian Racing History
The Alfa Romeo TZ2 is a racing car produced by Alfa Romeo from 1964 to 1967. It was powered by an Autodelta-prepared twin plug, DOHC straight-4 engine with dry sump lubrication that produced about 170 bhp (127 kW) at 7000 rpm. The car's peak speed with this engine was 245 km/h (152 mph). Only 12 of the TZ2's lighter, more streamlined variants of the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ were produced when it was debuted in 1964.
